Capture Memories at Big Red Orchard

How to Book Your Photography Session

We have 45 acres at Big Red with many great locations to shoot, including our historic barns, thousands of fruit trees and outdoor pavillion & kids area.

It is recommended that guests prepare for their shoot before arriving. We also recommended that guests are able to walk on uneven ground, as in the orchards there is irrigation and roots. You are welcome to come out to your shoot early to start scouting locations, but shooting is only allowed during your time slot. You may not come to the Orchard outside business hours without prior approval.

We exclusively will offer photo slots to professional photographers (with a valid tax ID number) with liability insurance for portrait photography. Only portrait photography will be allowed at the Orchards. Any professional photography other than portrait (i.e. landscape, still life, product, promotional, etc.) is prohibited.

You may choose $50/1 hour or $90/2 hours.

Terms & Conditions

There are no refunds for missed appointments. Refunds and reschedules for bad weather are at the discretion of Big Red Orchard.

By booking a session below, you agree to the terms as described below:

Safety

Our primary concern is for the safety of our employees and guests at the farm. Keeping that in mind, if you want to schedule a session you need to be aware of the following:

  • While we keep the field as free from hazards as possible, it is important to realize that this is a working production farm - not a manicured garden. Decades have been spent shaping this property into what it is today and it is important we maintain its integrity. If damage is done to the Orchard, it hurts our ability to continue to farm.

Farm Rules

We are fortunate to be able to earn a living from the plants on the farm. We have spent tens of thousands of hours shaping this property into what it is today and it is important to maintain its integrity. If damage is done to our plants, it hurts our ability to continue to farm.

  • Each booking grants one photographer use of the fields for their requested session time.

  • Guests are not allowed to cut or remove fruit or blossoms from plants in the field. If anyone is doing damage to the plants/trees on the farm, they and their photographer will be asked to leave immediately. It is the photographer’s responsibility to make sure this is clear to all their clients on the farm and assure they are following this rule. If apples, pumpkins, donuts, etc. are wanted for part of the shoot, it can be arranged for an extra fee or can be purchased within the Market (during open hours).

  • Guests are responsible to remove all trash or items they bring onto the farm such as food, wrappers, bottles, etc.

  • Glitter and confetti are prohibited in all areas of the property.

  • Guests & photographers are expected to be respectful of other guests time and space on the farm. There is 45 acres of the Orchard, which can be accessed by the pathways. All vehicles MUST STAY ON PATHWAYS. For access to certain areas of the property, a manager will accompany you.
If you are concerned about having enough space or time, you can request a time slot (within reason) outside of normal business hours.

  • Any professional photography other than portrait (i.e. landscape, still life, product, etc.) is prohibited.

The first time you book with us we may ask you for your Tax ID number and proof of insurance.
